Tasmania has 3 species of land snake, the Tiger snake, Notechis scutatus, the Lowland copperhead, Austrelaps superbus and the White-lipped snake, Drysdalia coronoides. There are also 18 species of lizard, including seven species that are only found in Tasmania.
