Cockle Creek to South Cape Bay

This easy walk starts from Cockle Creek at the end of Australia’s most southerly road and finishes at South Cape Bay Beach. The terrain is mostly coastal heathland and the track is mainly flat and extensively duckboarded. Approximately 15 kms return.
Allow at least 4 hours for the return walk.
Located on Recherche Bay on the edge of the Southwest National Park, part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, Cockle Creek, is the farthest point south that one can drive in Australia.
