Cape Queen Elizabeth – Bruny Island

The Cape Queen Elizabeth walk begins near the Bruny Island airstrip, where there is parking for several vehicles. The track runs between Big Lagoon and Little Lagoon. This is a good place to try to spot a forty-spotted pardalote amongst the white gums bordering the track. The track continues over Mars Bluff before descending through the dunes where it forks at a signpost. Take the right track to isolated Miles Beach or the left track to continue onwards and upwards to Cape Queen Elizabeth. The track to Cape Queen Elizabeth ascends steeply through coastal vegetation, providing excellent views of Adventure Bay and beyond. Allow about 3 hours return for this walk.
