Pipe Clay Lagoon

Pipe Clay Lagoon lies between Cremorne and Clifton Beach. It is a shallow area of sea water which is almost entirely surrounded by land and large areas of shore are exposed at low tide. When full, Pipe Clay Lagoon covers an area of around 660 hectares.

Pipe Clay Lagoon provides feeding and breeding areas for resident and migratory birds, as well as a diversity of fish and marine invertebrate species.
