Mt Wellington
Mt Wellington towers over Tasmania’s capital city, Hobart.
From the foothills to its 1270m summit, Mt Wellington is laced with walking tracks and trails that vary in condition, gradient and length. There are walks of less than 30 minutes through to full day walks. Maps can be purchased at visitor information centres.
Most tracks are well signposted, but it is wise to also carry a map suitable for your route. The weather can change suddenly, so it’s advisable to carry protective clothing.
Walkers should be aware that some trails are of shared use and bicycles may be encountered.
Mobile phone coverage is variable.
Park fees do not apply.
